Performance Evidence
Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit and include evidence that the candidate:
locates and applies relevant legislation, documentation, policies and proceduresimplements the appropriate procedures and techniques for the safe, effective and efficient achievement of the required outcomes of seismic drilling operations including:interpreting client requirements and proceduresinterpreting manufacturer’s requirements and proceduresinterpreting project site geological datainterpreting project site geotechnical datainterpreting project site hydrological datainterpreting project site metrological datainterpreting project engineering survey informationinterpreting project plans and drawingsinterpreting project specificationspreparing for and conducting of briefings, toolbox and site meetingpreparing of short messagespreparing and presenting of job reportspreparing and maintaining of log books and diariesapplying performance monitoringapplying operations troubleshooting skillsapplying operations problem solving skillsperforming calculations for the execution of drilling operationsproviding recommendations for the improvement of the safe, effective and efficient execution of drilling operations works effectively with others to plan, prepare and execute seismic drilling operations including:communicating clear and timely instructions to those involvedpreparing for and conducting briefings, toolbox and site meetingsmaintaining clear and legible written records and the reportsdemonstrates completion of the supervision of seismic drilling operations that safely, effectively and efficiently meets all of the required outcomes on more than one (1) occasion including:development of an implementation action plan, in consultation with team members execution of operations acquiring and making available the necessary resources for the safe, effective and efficient conduct of the operationsproviding advice to team members to overcome operational problems encountered during the execution of operationscompletion of an improvement assessment report, in consultation with team membersidentifying training requirements of team members and implementing training plans
